Let's Make A Deal

Looks like they're FINALLY making some progress between the Loyalsock Township School District and the union. They've been able to come to a tentative agreement that will be voted on January 28th. If it's passed it will be retroactive to July 1, 2008 and will expire June 30, 2012.

"Both sides are happy we've reached the tentative agreement. We'll be certainly looking forward to getting everybody back on track," said Gerald McLaughlin, acting superintendent and business manager to the Sun Gazette. "We can really focus on providing quality educational programs and opportunities for students." McLaughlin expressed his appreciation for the district's negotiating teams, as well as the union's negotiators for their efforts.

It's taken a while but so glad they've been able to work out the kinks and come to terms on things. See how major compromise working together toward a common vision pays off? It's all for the kiddies!
